We are an international alliance united to end preventable newborn deaths in African hospitals.

Newborn Essential Solutions and Technologies 360 (NEST360) Alliance is an international alliance of clinical, biomedical, and public health experts from 23 leading institutions, governments, and organisations, united to end preventable newborn deaths in African hospitals. Partnering with African academic institutions, governments and hospitals, NEST360 implements a systems-change approach to reduce neonatal mortality by integrating:

• Innovative, affordable newborn care technologies,
• Hands-on training for clinicians and biomedical engineers, and
• Data-driven quality improvement systems.

NEST360 is currently active in Kenya, Tanzania, Nigeria, Malawi, and Ethiopia. NEST360’s operational hub and leadership team will be located in Nairobi, where the organisation is being newly established as a Company Limited by Guarantee (CLG) governed by a global fiduciary board. Upon establishment, current financial stewardship, coordination and oversight responsibilities undertaken by Rice University in the United States will be transitioned to the NEST360 hub in a phased approach.
